More from Carolyn Pearson
It was on a lonely business trip to LA, that Carolyn found herself dining alone in yet another restaurant and decided to create a social network to enable women around the world to connect for dinner as an alternative to work and room service.
After appearing on CNN and in the New York Times, the site grew quickly and now has over 7,000 members in over 60 countries.
Since its launch Maiden-Voyage.com has expanded to include recommended “Female Friendly Hotels” working with some of the top names in hospitality such as the New York Plaza, Four Seasons and Fairmont Hotels. A recent addition to the site is a global ambassador network of travel savvy ladies who are there to support incoming business travellers.
Carolyn left her successful corporate IT role, having worked for big brand names such as ITV, Sony Music, BBC and easyJet to run Maiden-Voyage.com full-time and now spends her time travelling the world meeting like-minded inspirational women, sourcing the best business hotels and writing for a number of business and travel publications.
