Networking | Brighton Business Breakfast Club

I started the New Year as I mean to go on – by getting out more!  I was invited to the Brighton Business Networking Breakfast Club late last year by Paul Fletcher, Wedding & Commercial Photographer and really enjoyed it but bad weather, a nasty cold and a certain lack of clarity about my ideal client and product / service offering stopped me attending again.  Until now!

However, I’m very aware that one of the best ways to market a business that is offering Local Business Marketing Services is to get out there among local businesses and help them with their marketing.

So at 6.15am I hauled my cosy butt out of bed – in spite of being unable to sleep till 1.30am due to the compelling nature of Alan Sugar’s autobiography What You See Is What You Get
- and by 7.15 I was bright and breezy at the Courtlands Hotel where I was delighted to meet some familiar faces again.

Illness meant some people had not been able to attend and they graciously offered me the chance to talk a bit more about how I could help local businesses with their marketing, specifically with their internet marketing.  I was delighted to tell them about the new initiative by Google – Google Places – and of course all the questions were along the lines of “how can I add my business to Google Places?”  I was delighted to share how the fusion of Google Places with Mobile Marketing could enhance their Google rankings and organic traffic.

I hope I did a good job as it was all a bit off the cuff, but several people said they were going home to sort out their listing immediately so that was cool.

I get the most pleasure out of inspiring people to take action!
