Lighter, Brighter & Ready To Rock 'n' Roll!

I woke up this morning, still feeling clear, lighter, brighter and much more focused after getting my “Living Your Truth” blog post off my chest yesterday. This was in spite of the people upstairs coming in at 5.30 and promptly having a party!!

Some great comments coming in on that one – keep them coming please, I love to see how anything I’ve written resonates with you too.

My next steps will be to create a marketing plan for each of my blogs/businesses, with this one focusing on the writing / speaking and The Business Success Factory focusing on the consultancy.  I need to make it clear on each that grants may be available for mentoring / consultancy no matter where you live in the country as my previous marketing has stressed the greater London area.

However, my recently announced desire to become a pro-blogger took a bit of a hit today.  Several of the top bloggers have commented recently that it isn’t possible to make a living from blogging alone, that most of the top pro-bloggers have a business behind their blogs from which they make most of their money.

This stumped me a bit for a few days, but after clearing the decks with my previous blog post, I have now decided that my business is going to be

1.       Writing (Blogging & Books)

2.       Speaking

3.       Mentoring (individuals)

4.       Consulting (businesses)

I might diversify into offering Internet Marketing Services later, but only once my mentoring students are at the point where I could outsource the work to them.

Hey! that feels really good – how cool is that?

The Fog Of Confusion has lifted and I have a direction.  I’ve been tweaking my NicolaCairncross.com website to reflect the above and will start work on TheBusinessSuccessFactory.com this week.

I’m ready to move later from sister Sarah’s in Shoreham to sister Heather’s in Hove.  Actually I’ve been living in Hove for a week now, but we are moving my stuff over today, and Katie’s stuff (Heather’s current flatmate) into her new flat in Hove.

But first I’m off to read some more of Elizabeth Potts-Weinstein’s blog & “Living Your Truth” manifesto to make sure I get it all right this time.
