The next thing I would do, starting a business online or taking my business online, is open my Facebook profile, and link it to my Twitter account……so that my Tweets appear on my Facebook profile and update it regularly.
Then I would start a Facebook page either profiling my business, product or service, or based around the topic I am going to start my internet business about – think of your Facebook page as your first business website. It’s visible outside Facebook and highly search engine friendly.
Choose a name for your Facebook page that has a key word or two, and says what it does on the tin.
I believe that you can link your Twitter account to your Facebook page now as well.
You do have a Twitter account don’t you? If not, you need one urgently!.
Twitter is like mini-blogging and is highly key-word searchable by the Search Engines – Google is even showing a rotating display of relevent Tweets on it’s front page when you do a key word search – try it!
So if you tweet regularly, and link your twitter account to your Facebook page, and you link your Facebook profile to your page, and then you Tweet on topic, you can see how you can start to generate some traffic to your new page, and hopefully some “fans”.
This is the start of your mailing list and we all know that you can only start to make money online if you have a mailing list of people who know, like and trust you.
